How do I join?

Do I have to audition?
We have both auditioned and non-auditioned groups within the choir, but most of our cycles have no audition.

I just discovered YPCC and would love to join, but missed the first rehearsal of a cycle. What should I do?
No problem! Email executivedirector@ypccsing.org to learn if you can still get involved this cycle.

I don’t know how to read music. Can I still join? 
Yes! YPCC is not a professional choir and we have singers of all abilities. We have singers who were vocal majors in college, and we have singers who have done most of their singing in the shower! While sight reading skills are a definite plus, it is not a requirement for joining YPCC. We offer several resources such as rehearsal tracks and optional sectionals lead by leaders in each vocal section (soprano, alto, tenor, bass) each concert cycle to ensure that everyone has multiple ways to learn the music.

How much does it cost to participate in YPCCC?
While dues vary per cycle, the average cost is $35-50 to participate in one of our typical concert cycles. This covers sheet music, entry to the concert (duh), and a few other singer-only perks along the way.
